Welcome to the Website of Saltdean United Football Club

Saltdean United Football Club offers a very warm welcome to all players and their families who not only play at the Club, but to all members and their families who play and support mini soccer at the Lido Park.

The facilities of the Club House are open to all SUFC members and to all visiting teams. The Club House will be open on Sundays from 11am to serve teas, coffees and other refreshments.  The bar will open at midday. Why not come and meet other members over a drink at the Club after your match on Sundays. Being a member of Saltdean United Football Club is more than just playing or supporting a football team, It’s a place to socialise and meet new friends in a safe and friendly environment.

The clubhouse can be hired by members for functions such as birthdays and anniversary’s at extremely competitive rates.  If you are not yet a member of our 200 Club then please ask for a form and enjoy the chance to win cash prizes in our monthly draw.

About the Club

Saltdean United Football Club is a recognised Football Association Charter Standard Club.  All teams throughout the age groups have Managers/Coaches that have undertaken F.A. First Aid courses, have been Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked with the police and the majority hold formal Football Association qualifications in coaching football.  The qualification of the coaches at the club range from the absolute minimum standard FA 1st For Sport Level One qualifications all the way up to UEFA B License.

Season 2010/2011 sees Steve Green re-affirmed as 1st XI manager with Gerry Green and Wayne Bollingbroke returning to the club as his assistants.  The squad has been strengthened with the addition of players from Whitehawk, Peacehaven and Seaford and a successful pre-season programme has confirmed that this year just might be "our year".

Youth Football at Saltdean United

Saltdean United have run youth teams for all ages for many years and in January 2005 were awarded FA Charter Standard in recognition of the club’s organisation and how it is run at all levels, particularly in relation to youth football.  Planning permission was granted in August 2007 for the creation of a Mini Soccer pitch within the perimeter of the club’s property.  Preperations for the Mini Soccer pitch on the south west corner of the football club are now complete, which will mean that the younger age groups of Under 7 and Under 8 age groups will at last be able to train and play their mini soccer matches at the main football club from 2010/11 onwards.

What we Offer

Saltdean United are pleased to offer football for the community at all levels.  Our aim is to offer teams from Under 7 all the way through to Senior Level the opportunity to learn and play football.
