About the Team

Saltdean United are pleased to welcome Steve Piper and Jim McCarthy to the Club for the 2009/10 season. we have secured the services of Steve and Jim so that we are able to continue our success of fielding teams up to Under 18 level.  This coming season the team will be made up of players from the Under 16 team managed by Mark Huff last season along with any eligible players from the Under 18's last season.  Steve and Jim will also be bringing over players from their former club, Seagulls FC. 

Our new coaches come with over 7 years coaching experience and last year managed the Seagulls Under 16 squad to the County Cup Semi Finals. Previous years have seen their teams win the under 14 League and reach three  tournament cup finals winning one and being runners up twice. Steve and Jim come with County league playing experience and are looking forward to building a competitive squad of players who are able to compete for trophies and continue to provide the Club with the continuity we strive for by having youth teams all the way from Under 7's through to the Senior squads. If you are interested in becoming a part of this team then come along to pre-season training, which is held every Thursday at 7pm at Hill Park, the home of Saltdean United.
